Welcome to the Lord Raglan, home to comfort, character & hospitality.

A traditional pub and restaurant with a warm and welcoming character set in the picturesque rural Lancashire village of Nangreaves. Close to Bury, Rochdale and Manchester, The Raglan is great for getting away without going too far.

Real fires and real ale.

In 1825 the Lord Raglan was a butcher's shop and store on the main pack horse route from Manchester to Burnley. It was a popular stopping off point for merchants and travellers and later became a hostelry. The Lord Raglan was named after the Commander in Chief of the British Army during the Crimean war.

The pub has been in the same family for 60 years, now affectionately know as 'The Rag'.

The Leyden Brewery

In 1999 The Leyden Brewery was launched with a view to brewing on a small scale. However, since then the demand for Leyden Ales has increased significantly. This has meant our ales have been sold up and down the country as well as in our home town of Bury, which led to us creating our famous 'Forever Bury' for Bury FC.

Along with our staple beers, there are also seasonal and themed ales. Look out for our own beer festival as well as those held in Bury and Ramsbottom. We offer a tasting palette of our ales for the discerning drinker or for those who cannot decide.

Bottled beers are available to take away as well as 2, 10 and 20-litre containers or as a 9 gallon Firkin with hand pump.
